We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Transportation Supervisor to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting our transit operations, ensuring smooth and efficient transportation services for students and employees across the campus. Candidates will be instrumental in both field operations and administrative tasks, making a significant impact on the overall transit experience.
ResponsibilitiesSurvey in the field by riding transit loops twice a day to ensure smooth operations.Ensure transportation drivers practice safe measures across all routes.Manage and support drivers to maintain efficient and timely routes.Address and resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints from students, faculty, employees, and patients.Handle administrative responsibilities such as reviewing rosters and schedules, filling coverage gaps, and producing operational and incident reports.Answer phone calls and work with the transportation team to deescalate issues.
Essential Skills1+ years of experience in bus transit.Strong customer service, critical thinking, and interpersonal communication skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.CDL license required for precautionary purposes.
Additional Skills & QualificationsSupervisory experience is helpful but not required.
Work Environment
This position is based 100% onsite, within a dynamic and fast-paced office and academic health campus. Working hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., with a rotating requirement to work approximately one Saturday or Sunday per month to support sporting events. On weeks with a weekend shift, candidates can take a day off during the week. Schedules are typically generated four months in advance. The work environment offers opportunities for growth and development, with access to internal job postings across the Health System and University.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.40 - $21.40/hr.
