Job Title: Assistant Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support on-site construction operations for a large-scale, multi-family project consisting of approximately 250 units across three buildings, plus a clubhouse and pool in the Denver metro area. Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience and ideally have worked on ground-up projects. We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in their career and aspire to move up to a General Superintendent role.

Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Scheduling: Review initial project budgets and communicate scope, schedules, and expectations with field crews. Assist in administering and tracking project schedules prepared by the Project/Senior Superintendent. Monitor daily progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met. Coordinate the on-time delivery and proper staging of all materials. Schedule, track, and attend all required inspections.Field Supervision & Quality Control: Supervise subcontracted work and coordinate trade activities. Perform continuous quality control inspections to ensure work complies with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements. Maintain and continuously update project punch lists. Review construction operations to identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve productivity.Communication & Documentation: Communicate changes, delays, or field conditions to project management in a timely manner. Attend all jobsite meetings and maintain positive working relationships with owners, inspectors, trades, and suppliers. Understand and comply with contract requirements related to the General Contractor.Safety & Site Management: Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure all workers comply with safety requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times.Technical Skills: Utilize basic construction technology tools for documentation, reporting, and communication.

Essential Skills

5–10 years of construction field experience, preferably in multi-family or large-scale residential projects.Experience supporting or acting as an Assistant Superintendent or equivalent role.Ability to manage a building or scope of work under the direction of a Senior Superintendent.Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Town-home, duplexes and/or multifamily projects.Ground-up project experience is a plus.Experience working for a large company as a manager is a plus.Experience managing two projects at a time (10-20+ unit projects).Ability to create high-level schedules using hand drawings, templates, and computer software.Proficient in blueprint reading, construction management, supervision, scheduling, budgeting, and document management.Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and quality control.

Work Environment

Superintendents will be working in a residential construction atmosphere, primarily on ground-up townhomes and duplexes. The company is growing and increasing contract volume and project size. It holds strong values in quality of life, hard work, integrity, and feeling appreciated. The initial project team will consist of 4 SBC employees on this project site.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Denver, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $48.08/hr.
