**Job Title: Assistant Superintendent**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Superintendent to join our team. This position involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and supervision of facilities maintenance activities on-site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that all maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assist the Superintendent in planning, coordinating, and supervising facilities maintenance activities on-site.
+ Supervise a maintenance team of 35 employees.
+ Inspect, test, and maintain all aspects of facilities maintenance work, including HVAC, electrical, and fire alarm safety systems.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
+ Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Superintendent and project team.
+ Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
+ Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed according to plans and specifications.
+ Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
+ Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, schedules, and logs.
+ Support the Superintendent in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
+ Foster a positive and productive work environment on-site.
**Essential Skills**
+ 7-10 years of related experience in facilities maintenance or project management.
+ Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance processes, techniques, and best practices.
+ Excellent leadership and communication skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
+ Proficiency in project management software and tools.
+ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in subcontractor management.
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

**Work Environment**

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of South Valley Stream, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $52.00/hr.
