Assistant Project Manager
Job Title: Associate Project ManagerJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager with strong PMO exposure to coordinate and support multiple concurrent initiatives. This role requires a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, facilitate cross-functional meetings, and ensure project deliverables align with organizational objectives while maintaining clear communication across all levels of the organization.

ResponsibilitiesPartner with diverse stakeholder groups including senior leadership, business units, operations teams, IT, and external vendors to ensure project alignment with strategic objectives.Schedule and facilitate regular stakeholder meetings, capture business requirements, and maintain stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles.Coordinate cross-functional activities and manage competing priorities across multiple concurrent projects.Execute PMO best practices including project governance, reporting standards, and quality assurance protocols.Maintain project documentation, update project registers, and ensure compliance with organizational project management methodologies.Support project portfolio reporting and provide regular status updates to senior leadership and steering committees.Develop comprehensive project plans, manage timeline dependencies, and coordinate resource allocation across multiple initiatives.Track project milestones, identify risks and issues, and facilitate resolution through appropriate escalation channels.Perform project administrative functions including meeting documentation, action item tracking, and deliverable management.Create and maintain communication frameworks that ensure all stakeholders remain informed of project progress, risks, and decisions.Develop executive dashboards, status reports, and presentation materials for various audiences.Facilitate project meetings, document outcomes, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and resource constraints.Coordinate with stakeholders to develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.Track and report on risk registers and issue logs while ensuring timely resolution of impediments.Establish and monitor key performance indicators for project success.Analyze project data, gather stakeholder feedback, and synthesize outcomes to inform continuous improvement initiatives.Support post-project reviews and lessons learned sessions.Essential Skills3+ years of project management or project coordination experience with demonstrated PMO exposure.2+ years managing multiple stakeholder relationships with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and coordinate complex requirements across diverse groups.Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Jira.Experience with collaboration platforms like SharePoint, Teams, and Confluence.Exceptional organizational and communication skills with the ability to influence and coordinate at all organizational levels.Strong analytical capabilities for synthesizing complex information and creating actionable insights.Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) or PMO certification.Experience with portfolio management tools and PMO governance frameworks.Background in corporate real estate, technology implementations, or organizational change initiatives.Experience in agile methodologies and hybrid project management approaches.Previous experience coordinating large-scale initiatives involving multiple business units.Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr.
