University of Rochester: Office of the Provost: University of Rochester Medical Center: School of Medicine and Dentistry: Neurosurgery **Salary Range or Pay Grade** $700,000-$800,000 **Description** **FACULTY JOB DESCRIPTION:** **Job Title: Assistant Professor of Clinical, Neurosurgery** **Location** : • Arnot Health, Elmira New York • University of Rochester Medical Center o Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, NY **Position Summary** : The UR Medicine Department of Neurosurgery is recruiting a dedicated and skilled Neurosurgeon with a principal focus on delivering exceptional neurosurgical care at Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital, with clinic services provided at the UR Neurosurgery clinic at Big Flats, NY. The successful candidate will maintain a full clinical schedule, providing comprehensive services across multiple care settings, including outpatient offices and operating rooms at both locations. **Key Responsibilities** : • Deliver high-quality neurosurgical care to local and regional patients across Arnot Ogden Medical Center and Strong Memorial Hospital. • Provide clinical services in outpatient and surgical settings. • Collaborate with regional physicians and hospitals to improve access to neurosurgical care and ensure treatment in the most appropriate setting. • Contribute to the education of residents, medical students, and fellow physicians through clinical instruction and mentorship. • Participate in and support neurosurgical research initiatives. **Qualifications** **Qualifications:** + MD (or equivalent) required. + Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery. + Fellowship training in Neurosurgery preferred. + Strong commitment to patient care, education, and research. + Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. **Preferred Attributes:** + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. + Interest in academic medicine and medical education. + A passion for innovation and continuous improvement in patient care. **Application Instructions** If you already have an Interfolio account, please sign in to apply to this position.
