Essential functions (job duties): Position is clinical scholar track, non-tenured. Conduct independent research in line with the goals of the Department of Oncology including maintaining a strong record of accomplishments and the ability to secure external funding that will provide salary support as Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator and support research efforts and projects. Publish in peer-reviewed literature as first or co-author. Participate in service assignments of importance to the program, the Department of Oncology, Karmanos Cancer Institute, the School of Medicine, and the University. Unique duties: Qualifications: Valid Michigan medical license for MD’s. Rank commensurate with credentials. Board certified/board eligible Doctoral degree required. Post-graduate training required. When applicable, board certification and ability to obtain a Michigan medical license. Evidence of scholarly productivity (i.e., external grant support and scholarly publications). Ability to provide quality instruction to a variety of students.
