UW Medical Center – Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for a full time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift **ASSISTANT NURSE MANAGER** (Registered Nurse 3) to join our Interventional Radiology department.
The Assistant Nurse Manager will coordinate and participate in the orientation of new Nurses and Technologists, establish and facilitate processes which enable team members to acquire required skills, knowledge and clinical competencies and serves as a role model of nursing excellence. The Assistant Nurse Manager will also promote service excellence, patient safety, staff safety, and organizational values within IR.
**SCHEDULE:**
40 hours per week, day shift.
**RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Establishes and maintains credibility as a leader of day-to-day operations
+ Oversees staffing
+ Provides leadership for clinical and administrative functions
+ Develops, coordinates, and maintains various work processes that ensure successful department function
+ Promotes effective communication among staff and patients
+ Identifies staff and resource problems and takes necessary steps toward problem resolutions **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**
+ 2 years of current Radiology, ICU or ED/ER nursing experience
+ Previous charge, lead, or supervisory nursing experience
+ An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
