Description
Seeking an Assistant Engineer with 1–3 years of experience to support HVAC and plumbing system design.
Assist in the design and layout of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildingsPerform basic engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selections under supervisionDevelop construction documents including plans, schedules, and details using AutoCAD and/or RevitCoordinate with senior engineers, architects, and other disciplinesSupport field surveys, site visits, and existing conditions documentationAssist with responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, and construction administration tasksEnsure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field1–3 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design (internship or co-op experience considered)Working knowledge of HVAC systems (air handling units, VAV systems, boilers, chillers, etc.)Basic understanding of plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas)Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or RevitKnowledge of NYS and applicable mechanical/plumbing codes preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailEffective written and verbal communication skillsExperience Level

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.00/hr.
