About the Team The Tax Operations Team in Unilever is responsible for collection/analysis of tax and finance data, performing tax compliance activities, supporting group tax reporting and tax audit in the areas related to VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax and transfer pricing. Role Purpose Unilever is a Global Company with operations in almost every country on the Globe. The main purpose of this role is to standardize the calculations and analytics, identify improvement areas and prevent financial leakages. Key Activities + Perform HS Classification , verifying SKU classification in SAP + Coordinating with various stakeholders for Data collection + Perform Value Uplift Calculations + Perform Origin Calculations using SAP GTS + Ensure effective operation of the 2-tier model + Previous experience of Customs & Excise is desirable + Resolve Audit queries + Review existing processes and suggest improvements + Leading discussion with stakeholders + Excellent service delivery + Continuous process improvements Stakeholder Management + Co-ordinate with Country Finance and Customs team + Work with IT team to ensure that tools function as required + Establishing good network with Stakeholders in local Markets and T hird - P arty O utsourced P rovider Team Alignment + Should be a good team player + Active involvement in team meetings + Ability to work with Global stakeholders Key Accountabilities + Follow local Customs requirements. + Archiving of data from Brokers in the Data management system as per guidelines provided by T ax team. + Provide suggestions for continuous improvement. + Improve service levels, quality, KPIs and targets. Qualifications and Experience + University Degree in Accounts , Semi Qualified CAs or CMAs . Degree in Chartered Accountancy /Cost Accountancy is desirable. + 4-6 years ’ experience in Customs + Good knowledge of SAP and SAP GTS + Ability to work in a team . + Ability to adapt to changing s ituations. + Ability to work with Technology and Automation.
