Assistant Human Resources Manager

As an Assistant Human Resources Manager in Waldorf Astoria Helsinki, you’re not just supporting daily operations of the hotel’s HR function – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.

 

Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day:

Support daily HR operations: Assist in recruitment, training, compensation, benefits, team member relations, labor relations, compliance, safety, and performance management, ensuring compliance with corporate HR policies and federal/local regulations.

Enhance team member engagement: Help coordinate recognition programs, special events, and engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.

Manage HR systems and reporting: Oversee team member data entry, track employment transitions, maintain training and corrective action records, and generate reports on key HR metrics.

Inspire and develop the team: Supervise and support team members, monitor performance, provide coaching, and foster a positive and productive work environment.

Execute the in-house training plan: Coordinate and deliver engaging, high-quality Brand, product and quality assurance training programmes that align with hotel and the WA brand priorities. In order to do this, you will partner with line managers, department heads and HR to assess development needs, implement learning initiatives, and review progress regularly. 

Administer required training courses: Coordinate legal, compliance, and vocational qualification programmes to ensure employees meet required standards and progress in their professional development.

Any other languages are considered a plus.
