**About the Role:**
We are looking for an Assistant Fund Controller for CBRE Investment Accounting & Reporting Solutions (“CBRE IA&R”), you will work in an ambitious and growing environment. In this role, you will be assisting the Controller in coordinating the (fund) reporting by keeping track of deadlines and deliverables, communicating with different internal and external stakeholders, and preparing and reviewing fund reporting (templates).
**What You’ll Do:**
+ Supports production of fund financial statements and other required financial information including but not limited to investor funded and unfunded commitments, asset accrual methodology, and output.
+ Maintain shareholder registries. Supports preparation of periodic financial statements and assists with audit and tax preparation and audit review. Performs budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
+ Assist in designing and preparing client presentations relating to the fund.
+ Monitors, compiles, and may analyze financial data. Performs detailed review of monthly property level reports.
+ Supports the daily activities of the treasury, cash management, and accounting function of the fund.
+ Reviews and signs-off on fund level bank account reconciliations.
+ Ensures all fund transactions are properly posted to an accounting system.
+ Prepares and reconciles trial balances for assigned funds. In the US, supports the preparation of investment and positions reconciliations and daily reconciliation of cash balances. Performs periodic asset payment, cash, and corporate action reconciliations. Prepare templates for fund reporting
+ Feeds data for client presentations on financials.
+ Prepares and supports preparation of fund financial statements, investor capital call/distribution notices. Supports preparation of IRR and performance reporting models.
+ Executes on processes and procedures and constantly provides feedback on process improvement.
+ Performs administrative tasks as required.
+ Troubleshoot issues and ensures internal and external customer requests are managed timely, accurately, and with a focus on customer service.
+ Participate and assist with automation efforts, in systems testing and implementation-related tasks.
+ Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
+ Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
+ Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
**What You’ll Need:**
+ Bachelor's Degree preferred with 3-7 years experience . In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
+ Prior experience in fund level accounting preferred with real estate accounting or fund accounting software systems such as Yardi.
+ Requires intermediate knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) regulations including intermediate knowledge of financial terms and principles to include accounting methods (cash, accrual, and full GAAP). Ability to calculate intermediate figures such as percentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts intermediate financial analysis.
+ Solid technical financial skills and knowledge of GAAP, FASB, REIS, IFRS, and in-region/in-country standards where applicable.
+ Confident understanding of real estate terms, definitions, and real estate analytical methodology.

+ Knowledge of Company financial systems as well as internal and external information sources.
+ Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
+ Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
