4 Year Degree The Air Force Academy Athletic Corporation seeks an Assistant Director of Development to further philanthropic support for Air Force Athletics. This position will report to the Assistant Athletics Director of Development and assist with the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program for Air Force Athletics.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work as part of the Air Force Athletics fundraising team to drive philanthropic resources in support of Air Force athletic programs and cadet-athletes. Actively work to grow Falcon Athletic Fund membership, increase donor retention, and enhance philanthropic revenue generation. Assist in strategic planning and fulfillment of Annual Fund renewal processes and the Falcon Athletic Fund communication plan. Manage and execute events surrounding fundraising, cultivation and stewardship. Assist with the premium seating sales program for Football, Basketball, Hockey, and play a critical role in all gameday fundraising activities. Assist in the development of solicitation strategies for all 30 athletic programs with administrators and coaching staffs. Assist with the coordination and execution of fundraising events to include: A Night of Excellence, Hall of Fame, Falcon Classic golf tournament, sport reunions, Parent’s Weekend, and other special events. Manage a portfolio of annual fund prospects, exceed outreach, proposal generation, and fundraising goals. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletics Director of Development and the Associate Athletic Director of Development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in sport marketing, administration, management or a related field is preferred. 1-3 years of related work experience in a collegiate athletic development or similar professional sport organization. Track record of success and exceeding personal goals. Team player that works cooperatively and collaboratively within a development team and with other business units. Strong attention to detail, integrity, organizational, communication, collaboration, customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays depending on work and game schedules. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, work as part of a team and motivate staff in a fast-paced environment. Understands and upholds standards benefiting the USAFA and Air Force Athletics. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and successfully pass a background investigation. Position is subject to random drug testing.
