The Assistant Director of Admissions will assist the Assistant Dean for Admissions in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Touro Law Center's Admissions Office. This includes assisting with administrative duties, promoting Touro Law Center, admissions counseling, and recruiting law students.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinates and attends recruitment events/law school/graduate school fairs and LSAC forumsCultivates relations with pre-law advisorsVisits and holds law school information sessions at local feeder schools, and organizes campus tours for students from those schools (post-pandemic)Coordinates all aspects of on-campus and/or virtual outreach events such as open houses, information sessions, and accepted students eventsCounsels, corresponds, and meets with prospective and admitted studentsManages the Student Ambassador ProgramOversees work-study students schedules and assign tasks accordinglyContacts and follows up Wufoo leadsAssists with initial review of assigned groups of the law school applicationsCollaborates with the marketing department in developing publications (e.g. viewbook)Maintains the Admissions silo on the website and the Accepted Students PortalOther administrative duties as required Qualifications Education/ExperienceBachelor's Degree required, J.D. preferredCollege or Graduate admissions experience preferredKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesCommunication and interpersonal skillsAccuracy and productivity in completing tasksAbility to solve problems and meet deadlinesTeam-oriented with a student service approachProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & OutlookTravelTravel to Recruiting eventsOther travel as assigned by the Assistant Dean for AdmissionsWorking ConditionsExtensive Use of ComputersExtensive time sitting and standingAble to lift up to 5 lbs.
