Requirements Job Overview Assistant Director, Undergraduate Team McDonough Career Center | McDonough School of Business - Georgetown University The Assistant Director, McDonough Career Center (Undergraduate), will play a pivotal role in supporting the Assistant Dean in providing comprehensive career development services to 1,381 undergraduate students at Georgetown University. This position involves supervising key career programs, such as the Women in Business Program, Treks, and Fridays in the Field, and overseeing the McDonough Peer Career Advisor students. The Assistant Director will have the unique opportunity to create career development initiatives, write proposals, and track program outcomes and statistics. Team/Department Overview: The McDonough Career Center is a highly specialized team dedicated to supporting the career aspirations of students and alumni across McDonough's academic programs. They provide career services and support for job/internship searches. The Career Center's mission is aligned with the school's goal of achieving top-tier status by providing interdisciplinary support and consistent messaging to students. Duties include but are not limited to: + Manage all aspects of donor-funded Kosoy Women in Business Program + Support Career Center (undergrad) programming like Fridays in the Field and Treks + Supervise Peer Career Advisors (~10 student workers) + Serve as a point person for the McDonough Undergraduate Career Center for students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, employers and stakeholders at events like Family Weekend, Orientation, Admitted Students Events, Graduation, etc. Work Interactions This position reports to the Assistant Dean, McDonough Career Center (Undergraduate) and works closely with McDonough Career Center (Undergraduate, MBA, Masters Programs, MBA and staff), the Undergraduate Programs Office, the Cawley Career Center, Employers, Alumni and undergraduate business school students. This position interacts regularly with faculty, parents, donors, university advancement, HR, vendors (restaurants/hotels/transportation for Treks & office visits). This role directly contributes to the University’s mission by enabling the McDonough Career Center (undergraduate team) to be a place of discernment and men and women for others per Georgetown’s Jesuit tradition. This role specifically works with undergraduate students to think deeply and critically about women in the competitive business workplace and how to create more confidence and opportunity for this population. It also engages students to help them think deeply and critically about their career path. Requirements and Qualifications + Bachelor's degree required. + 3-5 years of experience in project management, higher education, and/or nonprofit programs. + Highly organized, strategic, and creative. Effective interpersonal communication, written communication, presentation, and teaching + Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate and be flexible in understanding the needs of multiple stakeholders. + Interest in promoting women in the workplace, student success, student career growth, and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) within the workplace. + Familiarity with Handshake or other Career Management Software, Google Applications, social media tools, and web content management. + This role will require some domestic travel. Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $47,586.00 - $87,558.13 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
