The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. **Position Type** Full-Time/Regular Reporting to the Director of Pre-College, the Assistant Director of Academic Operations works with the Director and other senior program staff to develop, manage, and evaluate Boston University Summer Term Pre-College programs, which enroll over 1,300 high school students each summer, with specific focus on overseeing and implementing the academic components of the pre-college program portfolio. Duties include supervising many complex administrative, academic, financial, and marketing tasks. The Assistant Director serves as a conduit between the senior program staff and Pre-College Program Managers to ensure effective implementation of strategic goals and coordination of all logistical aspects of program operations. Core responsibilities include establishing and maintaining academic relationships with faculty and staff across the University and overall recruitment, hiring, training and supervision of instructional staff; supporting the academic success of program participants; leading new program and/or curricular development; creation and enforcement of program policies; and contributing to the adjudication of disciplinary violations and addressing parent/guardian concerns when programs are in session. **Required Skills** Master's Degree in Higher Ed or related field and 5-8 years of professional experience with a minimum of 3 years' experience in program administration, preferably with high school and college-aged students. Professionalism, attention to detail, diplomacy, creativity, and enthusiasm are a must have. Some evening and weekend hours are necessary.
