Assistant Controller

Responsibilities: • Oversee general ledger maintenance and ensure accurate financial records. • Perform journal entries and reconcile accounts, including bank and investment accounts. • Prepare and review financial statements, cost reports, and regulatory filings. • Track and reconcile cash receipts, revenue, and departmental reports. • Coordinate workflow by reviewing entries and reports from team members. • Manage fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. • Participate in corporate and program audits, ensuring compliance. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable insights. • Support the Controller in implementing efficient accounting processes and systems. • Ensure adherence to governmental and healthcare reporting standards. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on healthcare or government reporting. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of financial statement audits and regulatory compliance. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Office programs. • Ability to work under pressure, manage priorities, and meet deadlines. • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Compliance with organizational health and immunization requirements or possession of an approved exemption.
