An Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while performing daily checks, repairing equipment, and coordinating renovation projects.

What will I be doing?

\n

As an Assistant Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for all maintenance issues within the hotel, daily, maintenance checks, and repairing mechanical equipment to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. An Assistant Chief Engineer will also be required to coordinate renovation projects and develop emergency programs. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nResponsible for maintenance issues within the hotel\nPerform daily checks around the hotel\nConduct lift emergency release procedures as required\nDiagnose, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment within the hotel\nEnsure good relationships are built with internal and external customers\nMaintenance of all hotel fixtures and fittings to ensure they are in safe condition and take action when any unsafe situations arise\nDevelop, implement, and direct all emergency programs\nDevelop, implement and manage energy conservation programs for the property to minimize expenses\nCoordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project, and oversee the general contractor and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed cost effectively\nPerform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned\nResponsible for the health and safety of the hotel\nEnsure monthly safety inspections take place and employees are trained accordingly\nPrioritize service requests; schedule and monitor the service performed to ensure guest satisfaction, safety and convenience.\nMonitor utility consumption to determine the effectiveness of current systems.\nImplement and schedule property and equipment preventive maintenance programs in compliance with corporate standards and local, state and national codes and regulations.\nReview purchase requests and monitor expenses budget to ensure goals are met/exceeded.\n Assist in the administration of the department by preparing and maintaining schedules, logs, records and other documentation to ensure a smooth operation and minimize liabilities.\n

Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate.\nAbility to work effectively under time constraints and deadlines.\n\n

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

\n\nFirst Aid\nVocational training in engineering or similar field\n\n
