As the Assistant Bakery Manager, you’ll support daily bakery operations, ensure policy compliance, and help create a friendly, consistent, and high‑quality customer experience. You’ll assist with production goals, inventory, merchandising, and stocking, while serving as a positive role model for your team. Main responsibilities:
Support daily bakery operations and maintain strong customer service. Supervise Bakers, Cake Decorators, and Clerks; provide training and feedback. Assist in meeting sales, labor, shrink, production, and inventory goals. Ensure product quality, merchandising standards, accurate pricing, and freshness. Order products, receive deliveries, and manage inventory levels. Lead the department when the Bakery Manager is absent. Use store systems and ensure compliance with company and safety policies. Support safety initiatives and assist with audits. Address customer concerns professionally and promptly.We are looking for candidates who possess the following:

Basic bakery product knowledge and production processes. Inventory, ordering, merchandising, and shrink control. Abilities: Supervise 2–30 associates and support daily workflow. Schedule, assign, and review work tasks. Identify and correct unsafe conditions. Perform stocking, rotation, and bakery tasks as needed. Educational requirements: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Travel requirements: Occasional travel for training or development Other requirements: Must be at least 18 years old. Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in warm bakery areas, cold coolers/freezers, and perform repetitive tasks. Starting rates will be no less than the local minimum wage and may vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Dependent on the length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay, PTO/Vacation pay and retirement benefits pension and/or 401(k) eligibility.
