Overview Join the NDCP Team and Make a Difference! Job Title: Delivery Assistant Location: Colonie, NY Compensation:$21.69 /hr. Schedule: + 4day workweek schedule + Monday thru Friday + starting time is between 3:00 am and 4:00 am + 12 to 14 hour shift Position Overview: The Delivery Assistant will provide assistance to the driver to unload truck and properly distribute product to various locations. Responsibilities + Assist the driver with the delivery of product into Dunkin stores using an electric pallet jack, manual pallet jack and or two-wheel hand truck. Product will be segregated into freezer, cooler, dry and chemicals. + Assist the driver with identifying the product(s) on the delivery truck under various lighting conditions that may exist in the trailer or delivery truck. + Learn product descriptions and box types to assist in the proper delivery of product at each location. + Assist the driver in placing stock into the proper delivery zone in the store (freezer, cooler and dry). + Lift boxes and bags of varying sizes and weights frequently during the course of a day. + Divert traffic to promote a safe working environment for the driver to back up into the store parking lot and delivery area. Guide the driver through parking lots. + Navigate through busy parking lots and intersections while delivering product using a two-wheel hand truck, an electric or manual pallet jack. + Climb in and out to the tractor and trailers repeatedly throughout the day. + Safely operate the side and rear lift gates on the delivery vehicles.
