The Asset Protection Manager will provide positive, proactive leadership and be the subject matter expert in Security/Asset Protection. This individual will promote Asset Protection programs that foster a safe shopping and working environment for our customers and associates, as well as protect the company assets. This individual's overall goal is to protect People, Brand, and Property.
Responsibilities Develop, implement, and enforce Asset Protection protocols, & policies, and procedures.Complete a minimum of 1 Asset Protection audit in all assigned store locations every QTR while providing training & awareness to store teams. Ensure all audits are properly entered into the Case Management System.
Develop and implement Asset Protection Awareness Programs through communication and store training.
Utilize the exception-based reporting system to analyze data to help identify operational opportunities, and dishonest behavior to reduce the company's exposure to shrinkage & fraud.
Work closely with cross-functional partners to identify potential gaps & shrink opportunities.
Conduct internal and external investigations in assigned areas to a complete resolution. Ensure all investigations are input into the Case Management System, and there is proper follow-up of all internal cases, such as attending court hearings, depositions, obtaining restitution, etc.
Manage and maintain all aspects of the physical security program, including coordinating general maintenance for equipment located in your assigned area, such as alarms, CCTV equipment, & locks/re-keys.
Manage and follow up with all cash shortages & lotto-theft investigations to a complete resolution.
Manage, follow up, and investigate all physical security alarm exceptions.
Manage all aspects and responses to all critical incidents, such as threats to associates or customers, active shooters, or any safety-related activity for all stores in your assigned area.
Support with General Liability and Workers’ comp investigations.
Manage security guard program in assigned areas. Qualifications Ability to work flexible schedules based on business needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to travel to retail stores regularly.
Experience & Skills
EXPERIENCE
5-10 years of Asset Protection experience,preferably in grocery retail.
Both English and Spanish fluency are stronglypreferred.
SKILLS
Excellent planning, multi-tasking in a fast-paced environmentenvironment, and organizational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Sound judgment with the ability to make quick,informed decisions.
Strong Computer skills, Web Navigation,Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Previous experience with AssetProtection equipment (CCTV/Alarm
Systems/Locks) is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of interviews and interrogationsTechniques - Wicklander Zulawski. Advanced level preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skillswith the ability to work collaboratively and
cross-functionally with all levels of management.
Excellent leadership skills are imperative to theposition.
Ability to prioritize projects in order of importanceis a must.
