Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an Asset Management Specialist. The Asset Management Specialist is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of the organization’s software and hardware assets. This role ensures accurate inventory control, maintains high data quality, and leverages asset insights to guide cost‑effective IT purchasing and allocation decisions. By optimizing asset utilization, the specialist helps reduce waste, improve operational efficiency, and support organizational financial objectives.
This position develops and maintains the processes, standards, policies, and reporting mechanisms necessary for effective IT asset management. The specialist ensures the organization’s technology portfolio is managed with a focus on cost control, risk reduction, compliance, and alignment with business and IT governance requirements.
A key responsibility includes designing, implementing, and managing a robust configuration management database (CMDB). The specialist ensures the CMDB accurately documents the organization’s software and hardware environment, enabling IT teams to operate efficiently and make informed decisions.

Skills and Requirements
3+ years’ experience in IT asset management, IT auditing or compliance, sourcing & procurement technology, or process efficiency, automation and re-engineering.
Understanding of the IT asset lifecycle and general IT asset management tools, functions, charters.
Ability to comply to processes and maintain detailed, accurate records.
Ability to lift 50-pound boxes/items to/from a height of 4-6 feet and load them onto pallets/shelves.
Outstanding organizational skills to prioritize workload to meet time-sensitive deadlines. o ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
o IAITAM certification (such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM).
o Experience in business process management.
o Understanding of contractual language, terms, and conditions.
o Exposure to federal regulations and laws, including HIPAA, PII, and PCI.
o Strong negotiation and management presentation skills.
o General knowledge of current technologies, systems, and software, including ServiceNow.
o Experience working with and building a configuration management database (CMDB) and the specific business services that it supports.
