As a Controller Professional in the Alternatives Financial Controllers team (Real Estate Debt Group), you support financial reporting and analysis for large institutional high-yield portfolios. You review property and fund financial statements, perform reconciliations, and ensure accuracy in NAV and IRR calculations. You collaborate with auditors, senior controllers, and external parties to deliver business-critical financial information.
Job Responsibilities:
Review quarter-end property financial statements, GAAP adjustments, and variance analysis.Analyze asset and debt appraisals for portfolio accuracy.Review fund financial statements, NAV pricing, and management/incentive fee workings.Calculate investment-level NAVs and IRRs, and perform financial reporting and reconciliations.Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure reasonability, accuracy, and completeness.Review client allocations, returns, investor capital calls, and distributions.Provide financial information to auditors and support senior controllers/portfolio managers.Communicate with external parties and take ownership of reviewing business-critical financial numbers.Collaborate with team members to support portfolio management objectives.Ensure compliance with US GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.Contribute to process improvements and control enhancements.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Attain CA/ACCA/CPA qualification with at least 4 years of experience in fund accounting or financial reporting.Demonstrate knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS reporting standards.Understand debt fund structures, operating models, and accounting concepts such as interest and loan loss reserve provisions.Exhibit experience in reviewing financial statements and variance analysis.Apply strong analytical and accounting skills.Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders.Work effectively in high-pressure situations and independently.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
