As a Securitized Trader within the Global Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (GFICC) Trading Team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, you will have a key role in shaping and implementing investment strategies across the full spectrum of securitized products, including Agency MBS and Securitized Credit. GFICC has demonstrated a long-term track record of strong performance and is responsible for $210bn in securitized AUM across the spectrum, including Agency RMBS, ABS, CMBS, non-agency RMBS, and CLOs. Leveraging your market expertise and analytical skills, you will generate trade ideas, form market perspectives, and collaborate closely with portfolio managers and research analysts to drive idea generation and investment implementation. This role offers the opportunity to directly impact account performance while being an integral part of the investment process. The position is ideal for candidates with significant experience in securitized trading who are seeking to make a strategic impact within a dynamic team.
Job Responsibilities
Actively generate, evaluate, and implement investment ideas in securitized markets—including Agency MBS and Securitized Credit—across a range of strategies and client mandates. Employ fundamental, technical, and relative valuation analysis to develop differentiated market views and inform portfolio positioning. Collaborate with portfolio managers and research teams to identify opportunities and contribute to investment decisions. Adhere to all internal trading policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and risk management. Present trade ideas, communicate market flows, and provide color and insights to investment teams. Build and maintain broker relationships; participate in broker performance reviews as needed. Represent trading capabilities to current and prospective clients, as well as internal stakeholders. Serve as an ambassador for the Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities trading platform.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 7 years of experience trading securitized products (Agency MBS, ABS, CMBS, RMBS, CLOs, etc.). Demonstrated ability to generate investment ideas and contribute to portfolio outcomes. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present findings and market views. Proven ability to build and foster relationships internally and externally. Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or related field. Advanced technology skills, including proficiency in Tradeweb, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint. Programming experience (Python and/or other languages) and interest in applying AI to increase trading efficiency. Experience presenting to clients and investment teams. CFA designation or progress toward CFA, or other relevant certifications, is a plus.
