Assembly Worker

Job Description

The Assembly Worker will be responsible for installing mechanical and electrical components on machine tools. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can interpret assembly drawings and ensure all parts are correctly fitted and installed.

ResponsibilitiesInstall a variety of parts and sub-assemblies onto machine tools as part of the manufacturing process.Read and interpret assembly drawings for new machines and components.Ensure all parts required for complete assembly of the machine are delivered to the assembly location.Align, adjust, and modify sheet metal components to ensure proper fit onto the machine.Install electrical components and parts needed for specific machines.Visually inspect machines for appearance issues and notify lead/supervisor of any defects such as bad welds, grinder marks, or paint scrapes.Operate crane to lift and install heavy items, including hydraulic pump assemblies and transformers.Use various hand tools, including drills, grinders, and air-powered tools, when installing parts and sub-assemblies.Fill out necessary check sheets.Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.Assist in the training of new employees when needed.QualificationsManufacturing experienceMechanical aptitudeAssembly line experienceAdditional SkillsMechanical assembly experienceAbility to read and interpret assembly drawingsSkill in using hand tools such as drills, grinders, and air-powered toolsExperience operating cranes and forkliftsWhy Work Here?

The work environment is a clean manufacturing setting. Employees use various hand tools and operate machinery such as cranes and forklifts to perform their duties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Florence, Kentucky.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
