**Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description**
The Assembly Technician is responsible for accurately and safely assembling electromechanical assemblies according to drawings, written, or verbal instructions. The role involves a variety of tasks including mechanical subassemblies, cable routing, and testing for electrical continuity.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble electromechanical assemblies with precision, following detailed instructions.
+ Strip, crimp, and splice electrical wires and build mechanical subassemblies.
+ Torque fasteners to proper specifications and in the correct sequence.
+ Route and secure wiring throughout systems efficiently.
+ Attach labels or nameplates consistently to assemblies, components, or cables.
+ Measure dimensions to ensure proper clearance of parts.
+ Utilize standard assembly tools such as hex wrenches, screwdrivers, and wire cutters safely.
+ Read and comprehend electrical schematics and bill of material structures.
+ Inspect and test subassemblies for mechanical functionality and electrical continuity.
+ Participate in continuous improvement activities and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
+ Communicate ideas and facts professionally to all stakeholders.
+ Assist with tasks like packaging finished goods and material handling as needed.
+ Manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities effectively.
**Essential Skills**
+ 2+ years of experience in assembly or building.
+ Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics.
+ Capability of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
+ Manual dexterity for quick and accurate assembly.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Proficiency in building cables and wire harness assemblies.
+ Working knowledge of IPC 620 and UL 508A standards.
+ Experience with soldering and troubleshooting mechanical assemblies.
+ Ability to upload component firmware and document as-built changes.

**Work Environment**
Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility. While workstations are currently under construction, you will have access to individual workstations equipped with hand and power tools for assembling mechanical components.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00/hr.
