**Job Title: Assembly Technician - Swing Shift if interested text 510 209 2515 Assembly and your name** Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly Technician to join our Production team in the San Leandro, CA facility. This full-time position requires a quality-focused individual with a strong understanding of both product assembly and testing. Responsibilities + Perform mechanical assembly, hydro testing, and performance testing of products in accordance with released assembly and test procedures. + Ensure products comply with all released product and component documentation. + Disassemble field-returned products for analysis, prepare product failure analysis reports, and perform repairs as directed. + Label and package products in accordance with released procedures. + Operate forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and pallet racks as required. + Participate in other general shop duties and projects as assigned. + Willingness to cross-train in alternate shops. Essential Skills + High School Diploma; journeyman training in a mechanical trade is a plus. + 2+ years of experience in non-electronic mechanical equipment assembly. + Knowledge of product and material testing requirements and processes. + Proficiency in using common hand tools and equipment. + Certification to operate a forklift. + Proficiency in using basic gaging tools such as micrometers and calipers. + High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted. + Ability to read and comprehend product Bills of Materials. + Ability to use machine and assembly drawings to accomplish tasks. + Excellent manual dexterity and computer literacy. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Manual machining skills are a plus. + Must be a team player, professional, and a self-starter. + Ability to work under pressure and stay on task. + Strong verbal and written communication skills.
