Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Assembly Technician to join our Production team in San Leandro, CA for an immediate full-time position. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who excels in both product assembly and testing, ensuring quality and compliance with procedures.
ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly, hydro testing, and performance testing of products according to established procedures.Ensure compliance with all product and component documentation.Disassemble field-returned products for analysis, prepare failure analysis reports, and perform repairs as directed.Label and package products in accordance with procedures.Operate forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and pallet racks as needed.Assist with general shop duties and cross-train in alternate shops.Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma; journeyman training in a mechanical trade is a plus.Minimum of 2 years experience in non-electronic mechanical equipment assembly.Knowledge of product and material testing requirements and processes.Familiarity with common hand tools and assembly procedures.Forklift certification required.Proficiency in using basic gaging tools such as micrometers and calipers.High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.Competence in reading and comprehending product materials and drawings.Strong manual dexterity and computer literacy.Additional Skills & QualificationsManual machining skills are a plus.Must be a team player, professional, and self-motivated.Ability to work under pressure with strong verbal and written communication skills.Quality-focused and reliable with the ability to interpret directions and stay on task.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is based in a manufacturing/shop environment, requiring adherence to safety and procedural standards while working with various hand and power tools.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
