Assembly Technician- Swing Shift
Job Title: Assembly Technician - Swing ShiftShift: Mon to Fri 2pm-10:30pm
**Training will be required the first 3-4 weeks, but will be on day shift. 6am-2:30pm. Once training has been completed, they will start their shift on swing that following week.** Must be flexible working on either shift

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time position as an Assembly Technician within the Production team at the San Leandro, CA facility. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who prioritizes quality and has a thorough understanding of product assembly and testing.

ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical assembly, hydro testing, and performance testing of products according to established assembly and test procedures.Ensure products comply with all released product and component documentation.Disassemble field-returned products for analysis, prepare product failure analysis reports, and conduct repairs as directed.Label and package products in accordance with established procedures.Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and pallet racks as needed.Perform general shop duties as assigned and cross-train in alternate shops.Participate in other projects and duties as assigned.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma; Journeyman training in a mechanical trade is a plus.2+ years of experience in non-electronic mechanical equipment assembly.Knowledge of product and material testing requirements and processes.Proficiency in using common hand tools and understanding general assembly procedures (bearings, press fits, hand tooling, etc.).Forklift certification.Competence in using basic gauging tools such as micrometers and calipers.High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted.Ability to read and comprehend product documentation.Skill in using machine and assembly drawings to complete tasks.Excellent manual dexterity and computer literacy.Additional Skills & QualificationsManual machining skills are a plus.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Team player, professional, self-starter, and able to work under pressure.Quality-focused, reliable, able to interpret directions and stay on task, and self-motivated.Why Work Here?

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
