Assembly Technician
Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies following detailed instructions. This role involves working with mechanical subassemblies and electrical components, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

ResponsibilitiesStrip, crimp, and splice electrical components to build mechanical subassemblies using various fastening methods.Torque fasteners to the proper specification and sequence.Route cables and secure wiring throughout systems.Attach labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cables consistently.Measure dimensions to verify proper clearance of parts.Safely use standard assembly tools such as hex wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, wire strippers, and torque tools.Utilize appropriate tooling and fixtures to aid in proper assembly.Read and understand electrical schematics and bill of material structures.Inspect and test subassemblies for mechanical functionality and electrical continuity using a voltmeter.Visually inspect components for flaws or damage and escalate issues as needed.Assist with packaging finished goods, material handling (kitting), and warehouse cleanup and organization.Maintain commitment to quality and safety, including participation in the 5S program.Participate in continuous improvement activities and communicate ideas professionally.Demonstrate proficiency in building cables and wire harness assemblies with wire as small as 26 AWG.Manage multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities as needed.Upload component firmware and adhere to the company's redline process for documenting changes.Rework and repair equipment and products as instructed.Essential Skills2+ years of experience in electrical assembly or building.Ability to use hand and power tools.Proficiency in reading blueprints/schematics.Knowledge of IPC 620 and UL 508A electrical panel wiring.Manual dexterity for assembling parts quickly and accurately.Capability of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mechanical assembly, wire harness, troubleshooting, and soldering.Familiarity with schematics and blueprints.Effective communication skills and professional demeanor.Why Work Here?

Work in a large warehouse/production/manufacturing facility with individual work stations currently under construction. Use hand and power tools to assemble mechanical components in a structured and safe environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of TUALATIN, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00/hr.
