Assembly Technician
**Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description** The Manufacturing Technician – Systems will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets inclusive of various components such as Orion products, relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, Ethernet switches, power distribution units, and surge suppressors for use by electric utilities. We seek individuals who are self-starters capable of delivering quality products within a goal-oriented and rewarding environment, with a passion for continuous learning and technology. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions. + Utilize power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment to assemble cabinets. + Conceptualize end-products and ensure precise measurements to meet quality specifications. + Manufacture wires and cables, ensuring they are cut to length, tied neatly, identified with tags, routed in tubing or wire tray, installed with covers and connectors, and correctly terminated. + Participate in the preparation of materials for shipping, including building wooden crates, packing materials and equipment, installing tie downs for securing loads, and placing items on skids. **Essential Skills** + Electrical assembly and wiring expertise. + Proficiency in reading blueprints and wiring diagrams. + Experience with hand and power tools. + Ability to read electrical prints and perform HVAC electrical tasks. + Soldering and mechanical assembly skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 6+ months of relevant experience. + Electrical aptitude including wiring, wire stripping, and reading electrical prints. + Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift and lift over 40 pounds regularly. + Effective cable tie and cable management skills. **Why Work Here?** Expect opportunities for rapid skill development and professional growth, working within a stable and essential industry at a leading technology company. The shift operates from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lenexa, KS. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.50/hr.
