PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a leading aerospace manufacturer to hire Assembly Technicians who take pride in precision, teamwork, and building products that matter. In this role, your hands-on expertise will directly support the assembly of complex aerospace structures and systems that help keep the world flying.

About the Role

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll perform a wide range of mechanical and electromechanical assembly operations—from detailed subassemblies to final build. Your work will ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency across the production line, supporting both production and prototype aerospace programs.

What You’ll Do Day to Day

Assemble electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies, including modules, panels, frames, drawers, boards, and cables.

Read and work from blueprints, drawings, specifications, work orders, and engineering changes.

Set up and perform manual and automated assembly operations using hand tools, power tools, jigs, saws, and portable machines.

Drill, seal, countersink, insert fasteners, varnish, and paint as required.

Perform continuity checks, functional tests, and in-process quality inspections.

Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test prototype or experimental assemblies.

Use precision measuring instruments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Document discrepancies and investigate issues related to parts, tooling, sequences, or procedures.

Perform routine minor machine maintenance as part of Total Preventive Maintenance.

Move materials, parts, and assemblies within the manufacturing area using assigned equipment.

Support production flow by training, coaching, and assisting team members across classifications.

Complete required data and system transactions to support assembly progression.

Train toward MVP qualification; additional certifications provided as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.

Ability to read, speak, and write English.

Experience with aerospace or manufacturing assembly processes.

Proficiency using hand and power tools and precision measuring instruments.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Preferred Qualifications

Aerospace structural assembly experience.

Hands-on experience drilling, sealing, installing fasteners, and sub-assembly installation.

Experience supporting prototype, experimental, or rework builds.

Familiarity with Total Preventive Maintenance practices.

Pay Details: $37.31 per hour
