**Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description** Join our team as an Assembly Technician and become part of the high-end outdoor furniture manufacturing process. You will learn the intricacies of assembling quality products, starting from the grinding department and progressing through cutting, bending, and measuring metal. This role involves using basic shop math and company drawings, requiring a precise touch with tools. **Responsibilities** + Learn and understand the entire assembly process for high-end outdoor furniture. + Utilize less hand and power tools typically used in assembly roles. + Start in the grinding department and progress to cutting, bending, and measuring metal. + Follow basic company drawings and utilize basic shop math. + Employ precision and a delicate touch with tools to ensure quality craftsmanship. + Be flexible and open to learning different areas of operation, including welding. + Adapt to shift changes and potentially move to a split or second shift. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in using power tools and tape measures. + Ability to follow detailed drawings and appreciate craftsmanship. + Flexibility and interest in learning welding. + High attention to detail and precision in work. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with grinding or familiarity with power tools and art equipment is ideal. + Ability to maintain quality control and assurance with an eye for perfection. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy working for one of the nicest manufacturing companies in Richmond, where you are rewarded with a raise upon going permanent, likely before your contract ends. The process begins with the drill press for raw materials, moves through welding, grinding, the paint line, and concludes with quality control and final assembly. There is also a sewing area where cushions are handcrafted, and fabric is cut via CNC. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
