Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

As an Assembly Technician, you will be instrumental in building the metal frames within our production bay. Your role involves completing full assembly and basic wire harness assembly on each unit, starting with a workbench, tape measure, and blueprint. You will focus solely on assembly and wiring, performing repetitive tasks daily.

ResponsibilitiesBuild metal frames of using hand tools.Perform full assembly and basic wire harness assembly on each unit.Use tape measure and blueprint to measure and assemble parts.Ensure the quality of assembly meets customer specifications.Essential SkillsHigh attention to detail.Previous assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.Ability to read a tape measure and use a power drill.Proven mechanical aptitude.Ability to lift 50lbs as needed.Willingness to work at heights of 90 inches off the ground.Comfortable working in awkward positions.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with small parts assembly and wiring.Experience reading blueprints.GED or high school diploma not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is bright and clean with a quiet atmosphere. Employees can listen to music with headphones and wear jeans and sweatshirts. No PPE is required, except closed-toed shoes. Enjoy working independently with self-motivation and without constant supervision. The job takes place in a new building still under construction, which is not temperature-controlled yet. The shift is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with little to no overtime.

This is a Contract position located just north of Lafayette, IN

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
