The manufacturing/assembly technician will work in a team-building environment on the production floor in areas of assembly, fabrication, paint, or other production areas, ensuring safety, quality, and standard work protocols are followed. Technicians use basic tools to accurately assemble both purchased and manufactured parts into finished products. This role will primarily encompass the frequent assembling of 3 different sub-assemblies, with assembling sub-assemblies including pipe fittings accounting for more than half of the work.
ResponsibilitiesSupport work area safety, cleanliness, material usage, and shop organization.Perform production assembly work, rework, troubleshooting, in-process repair, and documentation of assembly improvements.Set up, operate, adjust, and perform minor preventative maintenance tasks to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards of equipment.Regularly assemble pipe fittings and additional sub-assembly and final-assembly mechanical tasks.Document results during and post engineering development builds in a clear and concise manner.Essential Skills2+ years of experience with heavy mechanical assemblies.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics, models, and work instructions.Basic computer literacy.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with hydraulics/hydraulic assembly or pipe fitting experience highly preferred.Electrical wiring installation.Experience with operating and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on platforms above 10 feet.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail, good organization, analytical and reasoning skills.Ability to work with others in a cross-functional team environment and follow both written and verbal instructions.Comfortable with frequent changes of direction, dynamic work environment, and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressure.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The position is based in a combination of climate-controlled and non-climate controlled manufacturing, fabrication, and assembly facilities, with climate-controlled offices and break rooms. Note that the facility may be warm in the summer months as the HVAC isn't quite powerful enough to keep it feeling cool all the time. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with some overtime and Saturday work possible. This begins as a 3-4 month project, with the opportunity for extension or conversion to full-time based on performance.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
