Assembly Technician
**Job Title: Assembly Technician - Swing and Grave Shift** **Job Description** We are seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Assembly Technician within the Production team at our San Leandro, CA facility. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is committed to quality and has a thorough understanding of both product assembly and testing. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical assembly, hydro testing, and performance testing of products according to released assembly and test procedures. + Ensure products meet compliance with all released product and component documentation. + Disassemble field returned products for analysis, prepare product failure analysis reports, and conduct repairs as directed. + Label and package products in accordance with released procedures. + Operate forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and pallet racks as required. + Perform other general shop duties as assigned and be willing to cross-train in alternate shops. + Participate in other projects and duties as assigned. **Essential Skills** + High School Diploma; Journeyman training in a mechanical trade is a plus. + 2+ years of experience in non-electronic mechanical equipment assembly. + Demonstrated knowledge of product and material testing requirements and processes. + Proficiency in the use of common hand tools and equipment, with familiarity in general assembly procedures. + Certification to operate a forklift. + Proficient in using basic gauging tools such as micrometers and calipers. + High mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. + Ability to lift 40 pounds unassisted. + Ability to read and comprehend product Bills of Materials. + Competence in using machine and assembly drawings to accomplish tasks. + Excellent manual dexterity and computer literacy. + Team player, professional, self-starter able to work under pressure. + Strong verbal and written communication skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Manual machining skills are a plus. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values quality, reliability, and a strong work ethic. You will be required to wear appropriate safety gear and follow shop protocols to ensure a safe and productive work space. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
