Job Description
The Manufacturing Technician – Systems will be responsible for assembling build-to-order large electrical cabinets inclusive of Orion products, relays, knife switches, voltage monitors, ethernet switches, power distribution units, surge suppressors, etc. to be used by electric utilities. We expect our Manufacturing Technicians to be self-starters capable of delivering quality products within a goal-oriented and rewarding environment. Our ideal candidate will be a self-starter with the drive and responsibility to work independently. We also value candidates that continuously pursue learning and are passionate about technology.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret and understand schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and work orders to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.Utilize power tools, hand tools, and soldering equipment to assemble cabinets.Conceptualize end-product and measure precisely to quality specifications.Manufacture wires and cables, cut to length, tie for neatness, install identification tags, route in tubing or wire tray, install covers and connectors, and correctly terminate.Participate in the preparation of material for shipping, including building wooden crates, packing material and equipment, installing tie downs for securing the load, and placing on skids.Essential Skills1+ years of relevant electrical assembly/repair experience.Electrical aptitude including wiring, wire stripping, soldering, and reading electrical prints.Proficiency with hand and power tools.Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.Ability to lift 40+ pounds regularly.Effective cable tie and cable management skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsAssembly and electrical assembly skills.Blueprint reading and electrical wiring knowledge.Computer skills and soldering expertise.Understanding of mechanical wiring diagrams, wiring harnesses, and wiring schematics.HVAC electrical knowledge.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role is based in a manufacturing facility that is climate-controlled and organized. This department is the largest within the facility and is the most complex for manufacturing work. Employees can be seated for portions of the job, along with standing and moving around as needed. The shift is from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.50/hr.
