Assembly Technician
**Job Title: Assembly Technician** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to assist in the construction of small research boats. This role involves mechanical assembly with some electrical wiring, specifically solar panels. You will work alongside another technician to build boats approximately the size of a large canoe, using a variety of hand and power tools. Following written work instructions is essential to ensure each customer's requirements are met accurately. **Responsibilities** + Assemble small research boats, focusing on mechanical and electrical components. + Work collaboratively with another technician to complete projects. + Use hand and power tools proficiently to carry out assembly tasks. + Follow written work instructions to ensure correct processes are followed for each customer. + Perform electrical wiring tasks, including the installation of solar panels. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in mechanical and electrical assembly. + Ability to read and follow work procedures. + Skilled in the use of hand and power tools. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic soldering skills. + Ability to use drills and saws effectively. + Experience with blueprint reading. **Why Work Here?** Join a small team where your contributions are valued and play a crucial role in innovative research projects. The dress code is casual, consisting of plain pants and shirts. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Marblehead, Massachusetts. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
