Job Title: Assembly Operator

Job Description

The Assembly Operator is responsible for utilizing various hand and power tools to perform advanced assembly operations of complex assemblies in accordance with quality and quantity standards. This role includes training employees in both basic and complex operations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform all work in accordance with standard work outline.Assemble car locks daily according to the hour-by-hour schedule.Navigate through provided kits to assemble each build.Perform all work safely, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.Follow specifications for inspections as noted.Dimensionally check and test production to ensure assembled output meets requirements per AQL standards.Utilize properly calibrated precision measuring instruments such as calipers, depth gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, and other measuring tools.Inform the Team Leader of any operating/material/parts condition that may interfere with quality/quantity production and coordinate approved actions to resolve the problem(s).Perform operator maintenance and operational checks on all departmental tools and equipment.Segregate and periodically dispose of scrap/recycled material into approved collection containers.Essential Skills1 year of experience in assembly, with an emphasis on mechanical assembly.Experience using basic hand tools.Ability to stand for 8 hours.Good communication skills and attention to detail.Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work safely.Ability to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.Additional Skills & Qualifications Assembly line experience.Production assembly skills.Attention to detail.Proficiency in using various tools.Shift and PayM-Th6 am - 4:30 pm$16.30/hourPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.30 - $16.30/hr.
