PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an experienced Assembler to join the production team of one of our leading industry partners in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will directly impact production quality, reliability, and on?time delivery by performing precision mechanical assembly work.
Key Responsibilities
Follow instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, and schematics Set up and change over equipment for various assemblies Identify required materials and plumb/pipe pneumatic and hydraulic lines Install motors, gearboxes, and drive components Perform functional testing on assemblies to ensure fit and performance Inspect parts using precision measuring tools Maintain accurate time?tracking sheets for each build Document per QMS and department procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all plant safety standards and rules Transfer assemblies to the next production department Operate and maintain hand tools, tape measures, calipers, squares, micrometers, and protractors Safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and lift?assist tools Perform general tool and equipment maintenance Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment Knowledge of quality control processes 3+ years of industrial assembly experience for Class 1 roles 1+ year of industrial assembly experience for Class 2 roles Strong mathematical and problem?solving abilities Ability to multi?task, troubleshoot issues, and work independently or on a team High attention to detail, strong work ethic, and analytical mindset Clear communication and accurate reporting skills Proficiency using standard measuring tools Preferred Skills Experience in a fast?paced manufacturing environment Strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement Ability to work effectively in a team setting Willingness to learn new technologies and processes Technical education (preferred but not required) Basic computer literacy Ability to meet physical job demands, including: Standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing Lifting 40 lbs or more Why Join PDS Tech Commercial? Pay Details: $27.66 per hour
