**Job Title: Assembly Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Assembly Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the precision and quality of aircraft interior reconfiguration. This position involves following detailed procedures for product assembly, fabrication, equipment operation, and adhering to safety requirements. Ideal candidates will thrive in a dynamic environment where commercial and military aircraft projects are at the forefront.
**Responsibilities**
+ Utilize a variety of tools and equipment to assemble products according to specified procedures and specifications, including drilling, edge fill, bonding, mechanical fasteners, and fiberglass prepreg.
+ Ensure the highest quality of the assembled product.
+ Maintain accountability and proper upkeep of tools within the assembly area.
+ Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
+ Perform tasks with minimal guidance, showcasing independence and reliability.
+ Complete additional duties as assigned by leads.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in mechanical assembly, specifically within the aerospace industry.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
+ Experience with tools such as rivets, drills, and countersinks.
+ Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Effective oral communication skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or GED required.
+ Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
+ Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
+ Understanding of customer expectations and ability to meet them.
+ Capability to prioritize tasks, multi-task effectively, and work under pressure.

**Work Environment**
The role is set in a clean and organized aerospace fabrication environment. The job requires physical activities such as bending, climbing, grasping, and occasional lifting of up to 35 pounds. Normal ranges of hearing and vision are essential for safe conduct on the manufacturing floor.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Everett, Washington.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.24 - $28.56/hr.
