Maintenance Technician

Pay Rate - $30 - $36/hr.

Job Description

This role is suitable for both junior and senior level candidates. Junior technicians will develop foundational maintenance skills under the guidance of senior technicians, while senior technicians will lead complex repairs and mentor junior staff. The work involves maintaining 20+ year old dial-type and chain-driven machines in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Execute assigned preventive maintenance routes under the guidance of senior technicians, including routine inspections, lubrication, and basic component replacements.Respond to equipment breakdowns and assist in diagnostics, disassembly, component replacement, and reassembly.Participate actively in the formal Apprenticeship Program, completing 8,000 hours of structured on-the-job training across various categories.Support TPM/DTM activities by assisting operators with cleaning, condition restoration, and abnormality identification.Assist with spare parts inventory management and support SMED preparation by assisting with sub-assembly pre-builds and parts staging.Develop proficiency in CMMS platforms, completing work orders with accurate details and supporting data accuracy for maintenance KPIs.Maintain exemplary safety practices and complete all required safety training while upholding 5S standards.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude with experience in bearings, seals, chain drives, and conveyor systems.Basic electrical safety knowledge, including multimeter use and sensor/switch replacement.Pneumatic system knowledge with experience in air preparation units and solenoid valves.Experience with diagnostic tools such as multimeters and tachometers.High school diploma or GED required.level.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred.Basic welding skills (MIG or stick) are advantageous.Experience with legacy automated assembly equipment is beneficial.Journeyman-level electrical or millwright certification is strongly preferred for senior technicians.

Work Environment

The work environment is very high-tech and fast-paced, with a team of over 40 maintenance technicians. Training will occur on any shift, with permanent placement on the 3rd shift. Shift timings are 1st: 6:48 am-3 pm, 2nd: 2:48 pm-11 pm, and 3rd: 10:48 pm-7 am. Shift differentials apply, with additional pay for weekend work. Safety and 5S standards are strictly maintained.
