Job Description
The assembly maintenance technician will perform preventive maintenance on automated plastics assembly equipment. This role requires mechanical and electrical maintenance skills, along with experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment independently.
ResponsibilitiesPerform maintenance on hydraulics and pneumatics systems.Troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is an added advantage.Run cost reports to ensure equipment repairs are within budget.Work on an off-shift schedule.Essential SkillsProficiency in maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and electrical repairs.Experience in industrial maintenance and mechanic skills.Ability to read blueprints and perform welding tasks.Knowledge of three-phase motors and conveyors.Additional Skills & QualificationsMinimum of 3 years in industrial maintenance.Possession of a mechanical degree is a plus.Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.Strong reliability and initiative.Work Environment
The work environment is high-tech and fast-paced, involving collaboration with a team of over 40 maintenance technicians. Training will initially be on any shift, eventually transitioning to the 3rd shift. Shift hours vary, with 2nd shift running from 3pm to 11:30pm, 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am, day shift weekends from 7am to 7pm Saturday to Monday, and night shift weekends from 7pm to 7am Saturday to Monday. Shift differentials apply, with $1.00 added for 2nd, 3rd, and weekend shifts.
