Assembly Lead
**Job Title: Assembly Lead** Job Description As an Assembly Lead, you will supervise a team of assemblers, providing training, coaching, and feedback on overall performance. You will also actively participate in building wood crates using diagrams, cut sheets, and power tools to meet customer specifications for quality and timely delivery. You will manage job logs in the Ops Center (ERP system) and adhere to production schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and personal protective equipment requirements. Responsibilities + Supervise team for safe and efficient production standards. + Train and coach assemblers to meet safety, quality, and production deadlines. + Provide feedback on performance and manage time and attendance systems. + Use power tools such as nail guns, staple guns, power drills, and grinders to build wood crates. + Track jobs using production software (Ops Center) and follow work instructions. + Ensure measurements match cut sheets with tape measure accuracy to 1/8th inch. + Report any equipment defects or maintenance needs to ensure safe and efficient use. + Maintain certifications or licenses for proper team training, such as forklift and nail gun skills. Essential Skills + Previous lead experience in carpentry or wood working. + Bilingual in English and Spanish. + Ability to use hand and power tools, including nail guns and tape measures. + Proficient in using production software (Ops Center) for job tracking. + Experience with forklift operation. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in construction, framing, or general labor. + Ability to crouch, kneel, and handle heavy equipment such as 3.5-inch nail guns. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work is conducted in a large warehouse set up like a wood shop, equipped with table saws, painting stations, chop saws, and nail guns. The environment is loud with moving forklifts, requiring attention to safety and efficient operations.
