The Opportunity: The Assembly Clerk position is responsible for assisting and supporting the Assembly Supervisor ensuring the shift’s goals are met.
Schedule: M-F (9am-5pm)
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
How you will impact Smurfit Westrock:
Review work orders for production readiness.Resolve work order issues with the Assembly Project Coordinators prior to the start of production.Direct and lead setup crew on a daily basis to prepare new lines for production.Participate in line set ups and clearances.Request parts and product needed for initial line startup from the warehouse department.Make sample display (first piece) for each new line.Assist in achieving “1st hour” efficiencies.Create production labels for orders, as needed.Assist in reviewing completed production paperwork prior to submitting to the Quality Assurance department.Reconcile completed production orders.Order and maintain production supplies inventory based on a min/max schedule.Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies.Back up Line Leader, as needed.Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.Assist in training new Line Leaders.Conduct miscellaneous training.Back up Office Clerk, as needed.Assist General Manager as needed.Create purchase orders, and order supplies.Reconcile time sheets/labor hours and miscellaneous filing.Maintain spreadsheets.· Greet visitors, sign in guests.· Overtime is required.· Perform other duties as assignedWhat you need to succeed:

High School diploma or GED minimumAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
