**Job Title: Assembly Technician**
**Job Description**
Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for the assembly of new and returned submersible electric motor driven pumps and pump products. Your role will include quality parts inspection, assembly, mechanical testing, electrical testing, and documentation.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble mechanical and electrical elements of submersible pumps, including bearings, mechanical seals, lip seals, O-rings, and power cable assemblies.
+ Perform mechanical inspection using precision instrumentation like micrometers, depth gauges, and bore gauges.
+ Utilize assembly tools such as torque wrenches, air tools, electric drills, and screwdrivers.
+ Inspect electrical motors and pump wiring using volt-ohm meters, meter testers, and other electrical/motor instrumentation.
+ Read manuals and mechanical blueprints to translate into proper assembly procedures.
+ Assist with testing the performance of completed pumps and products to quality standards using fluid and electrical testing equipment.
+ Provide feedback to the production manager for planning the production schedule.
+ Offer technical information to Sales, Engineering, and Quality on product performance and potential improvements.
+ Collaborate with all functional disciplines to meet production requirements.
+ Participate in companywide continuous improvement and quality efforts.
+ Perform daily work safely, considering fellow employees and complying with OSHA safety standards.
+ Adapt to changing duties, responsibilities, and activities.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3-5 years of experience in a technical manufacturing or similar environment.
+ Proficiency in mechanical, electrical equipment, and manufacturing assembly.
+ Ability to use computers and software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Ability to lift 50 lbs.
+ Good communication and teamwork skills.
+ Experience with mechanical and electrical elements of submersible pumps, including bearings, mechanical seals, lip seals, O-rings, and power cable assemblies.

**Work Environment**
Work in a facility where pumps range in size, some requiring hand trucks or overhead cranes for lifting. The work hours are from 8:15 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Haven, Connecticut.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
