Thermo Fisher, a leading player in the medical equipment industry, is seeking an Assembly Technician to join their team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be part of the production department supporting the assembly line. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Assembly Technician
**Location:** Asheville, NC
**Pay Range:** $18.00 to 19.80 per hour
**Shift:** 1st or 2nd shift
**What's the Job?**
+ Follow all safety procedures and perform all duties using required safety equipment according to company policies and practices.
+ Review work orders for product specifications and requirements.
+ Visually inspect components and completed units during assembly for quality and accuracy.
+ Select and assemble parts and assemblies together in proper sequence to meet specifications.
+ Ensure that completed units meet specified quality standards prior to moving to the next workstation.
**What's Needed?**
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Beginner computer skills or willingness to learn.
+ 1-2 years of manufacturing experience with demonstrated product assembly.
+ Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
+ Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints is preferred.
