**Job Description**
The Assembly Technician assists in the fabrication, curing, build-up, and assembly of various types of composite materials. This role involves working with blueprints, templates, sample parts, process sheets, and other authorized information to ensure accurate assembly.
**Responsibilities**
+ Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
+ Position parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements.
+ Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
+ Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
+ Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying the supervisor for additional resources.
+ Perform cleaning operations on parts.
+ Maintain components for the assembly shop.
+ Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
+ Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
+ Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
+ Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
+ Utilize handheld tools such as screw and drill guns.
+ Maintain inventory of products in workstations.
+ Perform quality checks to ensure products meet quality standards.
+ Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
+ Maintain a clean and safe work area.
+ Be aware of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and tool control at all times.
+ Continuously demonstrate 5S application.
+ Participate in internal training as needed to perform assigned duties.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1 to 2 years of recent mechanical assembly experience.
+ Experience using hand and power tools.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ U.S. Person status required (ITAR)
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
+ Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
+ Well-organized, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
+ Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
+ Familiarity and skill with interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

**Hours:**
Monday - Friday, 1st shift (5am - 3:30pm).
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
