Job Description
Join our dynamic team as an Assembly Technician I, where you will be part of a collaborative and adaptable environment. You will perform a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and hand tools to complete the assembly and sub-assembly of component parts, primarily working in the Bundle Department. This role involves cross-training across multiple functions, providing an opportunity to enhance your skills and contribute to the team's success.
ResponsibilitiesWork according to work orders to set up baffles into fixtures.Use calipers to measure the distance between end baffles to copper tube ends.Hand sticking and using glue gun according to work order.Insert 'Cores' into the casting and prepare for pinning and pressing process.Float between Assembly, Build, and Kitting areas as needed.Prepare furniture kits, pack parts into boxes for shipment, and handle multiple configurations.Inspect painted parts for scratches or impairments.Thread knobs onto certain pieces and pack them with multiple components.Include instruction booklet, cork pad, strapping, and labeling for shipment.Build larger parts for Caterpillar using blueprint reading, torque wrench, and other power tools.Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance.Ensure quality standards are met through visual inspection and measuring devices.Keep work area, equipment, and machines clean and orderly.Perform necessary computer transactions in various applications and software programs.Perform other miscellaneous job assignments as directed by the team lead or designated person.Essential SkillsMechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and power tools.Attention to detail and safety conscientious.Ability to read and follow work instructions.Strong hand dexterity and ability to work with both hands.High school diploma or GED with basic arithmetic skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsDirect manufacturing assembly experience is a plus.Ability to cross-train in various departments.Reading comprehension at an 8th grade level to understand work orders.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work on the first shift from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday. The facility is climate-controlled with significant upgrades for ergonomics, ensuring a clean and safe work environment. Team sizes range from 3 to 6 individuals, promoting teamwork. A dress code requiring steel toe boots, long work pants, safety glasses, and a safety vest (provided) is enforced for your protection.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
