Assembler Technician -1st Bundles
**Now Hiring Assembly Technician I** Shift: 1st shift 6a-4:30 Mon-Thu Pay: $18.75/hr **Job Description** As an Assembly Technician I, you will be part of the assembly team, performing a variety of repetitive processes using varied machines and hand tools to complete the assembly and sub-assembly of component parts. You will primarily work in the Bundle Department and also float between other departments as needed. **Responsibilities** + Perform assembly and sub-assembly of component parts using hand and power tools. + Set up baffles into fixtures and use calipers to measure distances. + Insert cores into castings and prepare for pinning and pressing processes. + Follow pick instructions to prepare furniture kits and pack them for shipment. + Inspect painted parts for scratches and impairments, and perform necessary assembly tasks. + Maintain records related to production, downtime, quality, and maintenance. + Ensure quality standards are met by visually inspecting work or using measuring devices. + Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly. + Perform necessary computer transactions in various software programs. + Carry out other miscellaneous job assignments as directed by the team lead or manager. **Essential Skills** + Mechanically inclined with at least 2 years of hands-on experience. + Proficient with hand and power tools. + Attention to detail and safety-conscious. + Ability to read and follow work instructions. + Basic arithmetic skills (MDAS, decimals) and reading comprehension at an 8th-grade level. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required. + Experience in manufacturing assembly is a plus. + Hand dexterity and ability to work with both hands. + Willingness to cross-train in various functions. **Why Work Here?** The company invests in its people, understanding that success is directly linked to team members. The facility has undergone significant upgrades, including a climate-controlled pressing operation and ergonomic considerations. Team sizes range from 3 to 6 individuals. Over 75 employees work at the facility. PPE is required, including steel-toe boots, long work pants, safety glasses, and optional hearing protection. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
