Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Mainframe Software Engineer to join their team. As a Mainframe Software Engineer, you will be part of the software engineering team supporting enterprise loan applications. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Mainframe Software Engineer
**Location: Remote**
**Pay Range: $55-60/hr**
**What's the Job?**
+ Assist with the development and implementation of software for enterprise loan applications.
+ Write reliable, testable, maintainable, and performant code.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and stable software solutions.
+ Inspect business and programming specifications for accuracy.
+ Implement new features, troubleshoot bugs, and support production incidents.
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of 7 years’ mainframe development experience in design, analysis, and coding.
+ Strong experience with CICS, JCL, MVS, VSAM, and mainframe change management tools.
+ Proven ability to define and solve complex business problems.
+ Experience with SQL and relational databases is a plus.
+ Familiarity with the Agile framework preferred.
